Davis Park Comfort & Lifeguard Station - Fire Island, NY
Hi-Lume Highlights
The Davis Park section of Fire Island is only accessible by ferry. Once the materials were shipped across the Great South Bay, they had to be placed on dollies and rolled across an Island-wide boardwalk to the job site. In addition, construction had to meet stringent hurricane standards, including having the structure built onto raised concrete pilings. Subsequently, the building withstood the ravages of Superstorm Sandy.
